FAQs

This list of policies and procedures for the websites owned and managed by French’s Shoes and Boots, LLC apply to online purchases only and are subject to change. Please contact a store manager for store policies and procedures.

Return Policy

We accept returns for exchange or refund of your purchase, if requested within thirty (30) days of the date you receive the item. We do not accept any returns after this thirty (30) day limit. When an item arrives, please check it carefully to make sure the item fits properly* and is free from any defects.

*ONLY walk on carpeted surfaces when trying on footwear to determine proper fit. We can only accept returned merchandise in NEW CONDITION and walking non-carpeted surfaces may result in product wear.

Merchandise may only be returned if it is in NEW CONDITION (i.e. product tags and packaging intact, unwashed, unworn). Altered or worn items can not be returned.

Return shipping charges (for exchanges and refunds) are the responsibility of the buyer. In the event of a return due to a product defect, French’s Shoes and Boots will pay for the return shipment. Once your return request for a defective product is confirmed, we will email you a shipping label to print and affix to the box in which your returned purchase will be shipped. Return Process

Click the “Contact Us” link on the website and complete the form or email us at info@frenchsllc.com to request a Return Authorization Number. When requesting a return, please provide:

  • • Your name
  • • Email address on the order
  • • Your Order Number (from your Order Confirmation and Shipping Confirmation notifications)

Once confirmed, you should receive an email within 3 business days with your Return Authorization Number. If you have not received an email after 3 business days, please check your “spam” or “junk” folder or email us at info@frenchsllc.com for assistance.

Your returned purchase must be sent in the original packing and packaged in a separate shipping box. Products or original packaging damaged during the return shipping process may incur a restocking fee prior to the issuing of a refund or the shipment of a product exchange. This will be determined once we receive the return and we will notify you if applicable.

Please add your Return Authorization Number to the shipping label for your return by including it with the mailing address below.

If you are requesting a refund, please allow one to two billing cycles for the credit to appear on your credit card statement.

Product Availability

We strive to offer the best selection of footwear, apparel and accessories in the country. We make every effort to ensure product availability is as up to date as possible. It is our goal to fulfill every order in a timely manner; however, on occasion certain products may have delayed availability or become unavailable, despite the current information on our site.

If an item you order is not available immediately, we will try our best to communicate an accurate timeline for delivery. If the product becomes unavailable or you would like to cancel your order, we will promptly refund your purchase.

If a similar product is available, we will try our best to work with you to suggest something that may meet your needs. We may also be able to “special order” products not available on our website. Please email us at info@frenchsllc.com if you would like us to assist you in searching for a replacement product or placing a special order.

Payments

You may pay for your purchase using a credit card, gift card or Paypal. We currently accept the following credit cards:

Once we process your payment, we will send you an email with your confirmation number. Once your purchase has shipped, we will send you an email with a tracking number. If you have not received an email with your confirmation or a tracking number, please check your “junk” or “spam” folders to verify the email was not caught by those filters. Gift Cards

During the checkout process, please provide your gift card number in the “Gift Card or Discount Code” field. Once accepted, your gift card value will be applied to your cart.

Shipping

Shipping rates are calculated by weight and distance and are determined by the applicable carrier. The shipping cost for your order will be calculated and displayed in your cart. We do not charge any additional handling fee to prepare your shipment. It may take up to 3 business days to fulfill your order and up to 7 business days for delivery once shipped.

Expedited shipping may be available for an additional fee during checkout. Currently, we do not ship internationally.

Tracking

We will send you a Shipment Notification email once your order has shipped, which will include a tracking number. Please note, it may take up to 24 hours before tracking information appears on the carrier's website.

If you experience a delay in the processing of your order, please be aware that:

  • • We must receive credit card approval prior to processing your order
  • • Only credit cards issued by US banks are accepted for payment
  • • Orders placed on holidays may experience a delay in processing
  • • Generally, orders placed after 3:00 pm CST on Friday are processed the following Monday

Qualities of Leather

Leather is a natural product from animal hides and therefore differs slightly from hide to hide. Variations in the texture of the leather should not be considered a fault but rather an inherent part of the natural look and uniqueness of the hide. As every piece of leather is different, there may also be slight differences in how it accepts a color dye. This may result in variations in the consistency and depth of the color but is not a defect.

Genuine leather will have natural markings such as small dents, light scars, minor scratches, or subtle wrinkles. These are natural markings and should not be considered a defect but rather indications of the authenticity of the leather.

Leather footwear generally takes about 1-2 weeks of wear before softening. For optimal comfort, we recommend wearing your boots or shoes for 1-2 hours a day to start and then increasing the duration over the next 2 weeks. Please keep in mind that leather is a natural product and will wear over time. To prevent premature wear, you should protect your leather from prolonged exposure to moisture and direct sunlight. Leather is a durable material and well-maintained, high-quality leather is known to last for many years. Many times, slightly damaged leather can be restored through the application of specific products.
